WHAT TO BRING

One of the great things about getting married in your late thirties (hahaha) is that you already have everything you need. In many cases, you have two of them. So, we'd like to try something a little different and take this opportunity help some of the people and causes that have made a big difference in our lives. We'd be honoured if you would consider making a donation to one of these very worthwhile causes in lieu of a wedding present. Both of us have a very close connection to these foundations and the work they do.

The Abby Fedosoff Memorial Fund was created in memory of Abby to help youth struggling with mental health concerns. It provides directed donations to local organizations that specifically focus on children and youth mental health. The fund also provides scholarships and education to end the stigma of mental illness and works to prevent suicide.

Cheques can be made payable to "Abby Fedosoff Memorial Fund" and brought to the wedding, or mailed to:

The Multi Organ Transplant Team at the Toronto General Hospital has been a big part of our family's life for over a decade. From Steve and Chris's liver transplant operation in 2008, to their ongoing care and follow up, through to the groundbreaking research and successful stem cell trial we underwent last year, they are a big reason why Lynne and I get to celebrate with all of you this August.

We'd like to use this opportunity to make sure that our family and others like ours continue to benefit from the world class, life saving work they do.

Cystic Fibrosis has been a big part of life for the McCombes family for more than than 40 years. In the late 60's and 70's the cause of CF was unknown and the median survival age was only 10 years. 40 years later, the genetic cause of CF has been discovered, leading to new drug therapies that have vastly extended and improved the quality of life for those living with Cystic Fibrosis.

We want to continue to support the incredible work the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation does for our family and for the thousands of other families like ours.

To donate online, visit the Cystic Fibrosis Canada website.

In the "This gift is in Honour of" section, type, "Lynne and Steve".
